Despite not having a business school, UCSB clocked in at number 20 on a recent list of the most entrepreneurial universities, ahead of schools like Carnegie Mellon University, Harvard, and USC. The school does boast a Technology Management program for business-minded students in other majors. Adjusted for populations, the Santa Barbara region had the fifth-most venture-capital activity in the country, according to a CityLab review. The Forbes ranking was based on the number of students and alumni who listed themselves as business owners or founders on LinkedIn.
