A northbound passenger train traveling at 60 mph ran into a car on the tracks Monday afternoon just south of Guadalupe. According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesperson Capt. David Sadecki, the train hit “the rear of a vehicle, pushing it into two parked vehicles.” The car’s driver was treated for minor injuries and transported to the hospital, and nobody aboard the train was hurt. No further explanation was provided and the cause of the accident remains under investigation, Sadecki said.
