Colleen
Colleen is a petite long-haired Dachshund mix, weighing only 7 lbs. This 4-yr-old spayed female is looking for her forever home. She was abandoned at the Santa Barbara County Shelter and spent a little overnight time with one of our volunteer families where she quickly became a favorite. Colleen is the perfect lap dog, and she is also playful. She is completely comfortable and happy being in your arms and she gives lots of kisses. She gets along well with other dogs, but we think she would secretly enjoy it if she were an only “dog child” because she likes having a one on one relationship and will focus all her love and attention on you. So if you are looking for that special relationship, Colleen is your girl.

K-9 PALS provides free dog behavior training sessions for people who have adopted a dog from any shelter, rescue group, or humane society. K-9 Placement and Assistance League, Inc. is the all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit 501C3 organization dedicated to providing humane care, forever homes and advocacy for homeless and abandoned dogs for more than 15 years. All donations go directly to benefit abandoned dogs in order to save lives, and find forever homes for them.

Event
K-9 PALS’ next community event is at the New Vic Theatre in conjunction with The Best Brothers comedy play performed by the Ensemble Theatre Company. The play runs from December 4–21, with evening performances at 8 p.m., Sunday afternoon matinees at 2 p.m.; and on Saturday, December 13, at 4 p.m. Come see the show and learn more about K-9 PALS and meet some adoptable dogs!
