The last few days of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival could be prime time to huddle inside movie theaters, with a “significant rain event” predicted for Santa Barbara County Friday night through Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, all of California is in for a good soaking, with our area slated to receive up to 1.5 inches of rain by weekend’s end. Meteorologists warn that the rainfall could cause “ponding of water” on roads and “minor urban flooding in poor drainage areas.” Mountain regions can expect wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour on Friday night.
