Children’s Science Museum Takes Shape on State Street
MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration and Innovation to Open Next Summer
Construction is buzzing away at MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration and Innovation — the new children’s science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) museum on Lower State Street — scheduled to open in late 2016. The 25,000-square-foot museum has been LEED certified, meaning it has been deemed sustainable by the U.S. Green Building Council, and has raised $18 million of its $25 million fundraising goal. The museum, which broke ground in October 2014, will house over 70 interactive STEM exhibits, as well as a Smart Classroom, a New Media Theater, and a rooftop Sky Garden.
