10/17: College Soccer: Vanguard at Westmont Records are hard to come by when a school has played soccer for 50 years, but junior midfielder Wilton Quintero’s six penalty kicks have broken Westmont’s school record by three. He has not missed a shot from the stripe. The Warrior men, tied for third in the Golden State Athletic Conference standings, are trying to close the gap with second-place Vanguard, the NAIA’s No. 3-ranked team. On the women’s side, Westmont is ranked No. 10 in the nation and is unbeaten (4-0-1) in the GSAC, but 12th-ranked Vanguard lurks just behind. Kelsey Steck (eight goals, four assists) and Brooke Lillywhite (six goals, five assists) are the Warrior women’s leading scorers. Men: Noon. Women: 2:30pm. Thorrington Field, Westmont College, 955 Las Paz Rd. Free-$8. Call (805) 565-6010.
