Fire Breaks out in Orcutt Boutique Shop
Firefighters from the Santa Barbara County and Santa Maria City Fire Departments responded at approximately 5:10 a.m. Monday morning to reports of a structure fire at Tationa’s Boutique Shop in a small strip mall at 221 S. Broadway Street in Orcutt, according to a prepared statement from county Fire Captain David Zaniboni.
As Zaniboni stated on the county’s fire department news line, fire personnel were able to knock down the blaze in 10-15 minutes with three engine companies, the battalion chief, and assistance from Santa Maria firefighters. Zaniboni said the interior fire damaged only the building and contents of Tationa’s Boutique, which didn’t have sprinklers inside.
Fire investigators, who have yet to determine the cause of the fire, deemed the incident suspicious. People with information about the fire are asked to call the county’s fire department tip line at (805) 686-5074.
