Compass Real Estate Platform Opens in Montecito

Compass, a New York–based luxury real estate platform, expanded three months ago to Santa Barbara and Montecito, where it opened its second Southern California office at 1293 Coast Village Circle. Bringing 30 years of industry experience, Sales Manager John Nisbet will head the location. The nationwide company connects buyers, sellers, and renters of luxury properties to real estate agents through an online app.

“The addition of our beautiful new office designed to serve both Santa Barbara and Montecito is part of Compass’s long-term growth strategy to become the premiere real estate services company on the West Coast,” said Nisbet in the company’s press release. Since 2013, Nisbet managed real estate franchise Coldwell Banker’s Santa Barbara and Montecito locations. He received the company’s 2014 President’s Award for managerial excellence.

With offices in Boston, Cambridge, Miami, the Hamptons, and Washington, D.C., Compass opened for business in November in Beverly Hills. Having since hired “80 of the region’s top real-estate agents,” the company launched Malibu and Pasadena locations, stated last week’s press release. Since its 2013 founding, the luxury platform has collected $125 in investor capital, reported the Pacific Coast Business Times.
