School District Seeks Input on Draft Budget

Santa Barbara Unified School District is inviting the community to chime in on its draft Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) as it updates the weighty budgetary document. While the LCAP now aligns with the goals of the district’s Strategic Plan — from college preparedness to cultural proficiency — it’s expanding next year to include more commitments to early education. Suggestions and comments can be made through the link at the district’s homepage. Past parental input led to the creation of after-school tutoring and expanded library hours.
