‘A Man of Genius’ Serves Up Suspense
Lynn Rosen’s Novel Is a Philosophical and Moral Quest for Answers
The grinning skull crowned with a laurel wreath on the cover of author Lynn Rosen’s newly published book, A Man of Genius, announces that this is no biography. Rather, it’s the fictional story of a man whose fame is hollow and of the women who are in his thrall. Not so much a murder mystery, though there may be a crime there, A Man of Genius, which is Rosen’s first book at age 84, tackles the question of whether or not morality should be set aside and geniuses be given a pass. Also central to the plot is the query of why women attach themselves to men of intellectual brilliance and refuse to let go, no matter how despicably they are treated.
