For years Carpinteria has seen investors come and go: investors who see a piece of land as a way to make money, investors who have their idea of how Carpinteria should look, investors who move on and leave us to wonder why we didn’t fight harder to preserve what we hold dear.

Now we are witness to an amazing group: ENvestors, as I like to call them, people who appreciate our connection with the ENvironment, ENvestors who understand our love of the ocean, ENvestors who realize the vitality of open space, ENvestors who look at our mountain and ocean views and still marvel at their beauty.

I, for one, am in awe and humbled to be in the company of these ENvestors. They have dared to dream and worked to make that dream come true. They have the vision to keep Carpinteria Carpinteria, and their generosity is deeply admired. These ENvestors value our special community and understand our passion to keep a balance between us and the environment.

Carpinteria is home to many well-loved places: the Salt Marsh, Linden Field, beautiful beaches, the Carpinteria Bluffs, Tarpits Park, the Seal Sanctuary, Franklin Trail, and many neighborhood parks. We love and use these places almost to death. Now we are being given an opportunity to add another special place — 21 acres on Bluffs Three.

As a community we have shown our generous spirit over and over, and now we have an incredible opportunity to join the ENvestors to ensure the new addition to bluffs open space will be taken well taken care of. Please join me in supporting this new acquisition. The Land Trust of Santa Barbara County or Citizens for the Carpinteria Bluffs are ready to accept your donation. ENvest in this new treasure.
