I was in tears this morning on seeing the shooting of an innocent African-American man by the police. His only crime was having a blown-out rear light. He was reaching for his driver’s license when the officer shot him several times and killed him. His girlfriend caught it all on her phone, and it has been on television.

I am very upset that African-American men are shot by the police for no reason. My feelings are that we need to retrain police officers on communication and listening before they reach for their guns. Also, they should not be so quick to judge people of color. Time for change in the U.S.A.
