The Consciousness Network® presents:

CLIMATE CHANGE & CONSCIOUSNESS: Let’s Make a Difference

Featuring an Expert Panel of Environmental Leaders Presenting Practical Strategies for Addressing Climate Change

On Friday, June 7, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., The Consciousness Network® will present a call to action at an extraordinary evening on Climate Change and Consciousness, featuring a panel of local and global experts and environmental activists. The panel will address practical strategies we can all apply in our lives to help address climate change, the intersection of technology, and the power of individual and collective conscious choice-making in creating a healthier, happier, more sustainable world.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

David Pellow, Ph.D is Dehlsen Chair and Professor of Environmental Studies and Director of the Global Environmental Justice Project at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Pellow is considered a rising star in the sustainability community.

Rinaldo Brutoco, J.D. is the Founder and President of the World Business Academy. As an author, visionary change agent and highly regarded keynote speaker and guest lecturer at major business schools such as Stanford, Brutoco brings valuable insights to the critical questions of how we can design a better future for humanity and the role of business in contemporary moral, environmental, and social issues.

Lamara Heartwell is an environmental activist and great-granddaughter of one of the founders of Exxon. Her passion and advocacy for environmental sustainability have been influenced by her family’s involvement in the oil industry. She is as invested in the health of the planet as she is in the health of our bodies, and sees a direct relationship between the two.

Kathi King is the Director of Outreach and Education at the Community Environmental Council and plays a key role in organizing the renowned Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival. She is also on the board of the Montecito Association and the Santa Barbara School District’s Sustainability Sub-Committee.

Forrest Leichtberg — Founder and President of the Consciousness Network® – will be the host and emcee for the evening. Leichtberg says:

“Through collective awareness and action in our community, we can make a difference in the pursuit of a more sustainable and environmentally sound society. This event will explore the connection between the spiritual development of human consciousness and humanity’s environmental footprint, as well as provide practical, everyday strategies that can be implemented by each of us to immediately contribute toward a healthier world.”
