Join Foothills Forever and Channel Islands Restoration (CIR) for Tours at the San Marcos Foothills.

Enjoy expansive views while learning about geology or taking an informal walking tour of this beautiful property.

Channel Islands Restoration (CIR) will also have an Earth Day table on site at the foothills entrance with native and invasive animal and plant specimens (and hand sanitizer for those who want to handle them). CIR will talk about our habitat restoration efforts on the Channel Islands and mainland (including the San Marcos Foothills County Preserve) and why restoration is important. We’ll also have information about pollinators and native plants, the interdependence of native plants and animals, and how you can help.
