Baby to the Max

Christmas and New Year’s may have found you chowing down on turkey and throwing back the bubbly, but for the Abatie family, this year’s holidays found them celebrating the birth of little Max. Alex Abatie, The Indy’s design director, and his wife, Carla, brought Max into the world at 9:52 p.m. on December 27, 2007, at Cottage Hospital. While Mommy and Daddy may be glowing in post-birthing joy, older brothers Kyle, 12, and Lukas, 9, are pretty darn excited, too; for Christmas, Lukas gave Carla a “gift card” for diaper changing. And it looks like that kind of brotherly love may be right up Max’s alley, since he seems primed for sleeping, drooling, eating, and pooping more than anything else. “Carla did amazing during her labor and it was just a beautiful birth,” Alex said. “He’s already such a bundle of joy, and I can’t believe he’s finally here!”
