ON THE COVER: Jane Gottlieb created these two artworks for the Summer Solstice covers of The Independent in her signature style, painting with vivid colors and enhancing her photographs in many ways. She has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the world, including the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in two group shows as well as a solo exhibit at the Carnegie Art Museum in Oxnard. She has been on the Board of Trustees at SBMA for many years. Jane Gottlieb is now represented in S.B. at the Patty Look Lewis Gallery.
