Editor & Publisher magazine announced on 4/29 that The Santa Barbara Independent’s independent.com Web site has been nominated as a finalist in this year’s “EPpy” awards in the category of “best weekly newspaper-affiliated Web site,” alongside brooklynpaper.com and wickedlocalsomerville.com. Also this week, the Santa Barbara Daily Sound began delivery to subscribers, dropping the paper at 350 area addresses on 3/28. (click here for more)
