Little Hearts, Big Smiles Providing Free Dental Care to California’s Central Coast Children
In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month, Johnson Family Dental will offer free dental care to children in need during their Little Hearts, Big Smiles event on Friday, August 12, 2011.
During this event, the three offices at Johnson Family Dental and its staff will see any children ages 12 and under from 12:00pm to 5:00pm in Solvang and Ventura and Santa Barbara offices. Those in attendance will receive a free exam, digital x-rays, cleaning and fluoride.
“Little Hearts, Big Smiles is a way for children in the community to receive the care they need even if they slip through the cracks of the social service system,” explains Steven Johnson, D.D.S.
Due to the number of people expected, participants must be pre-registered prior to the event. Parents please call your local office to register your child at one of the following:

“This will be our third year hosting Little Hearts, Big Smiles and we encourage parents to bring in their child for this fun and free event! We love to reach out to the kids in our communities and show them that going to the dentist can be fun and educational,” exclaims Dr. Steven Johnson.
Free orthodontic consultations for children for braces as well as Invisalign (Santa Barbara office only) will be offered to those that are interested and qualify. Balloons and door prizes will also be given out to children who get their teeth cleaned as well as face painting and coloring books.
This year Johnson Family Dental has become a corporate sponsor of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Every day more than 40 children are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. So this year at our free event, we are asking for donations to help find a cure for diabetes.
