This Saturday, July 23rd, we will receive our annual delivery of juvenile white seabass, which will be fed and cared for alongside Stearn’s Wharf until their release in the fall. The delivery will take place between 8am and 10am on Saturday. Former Santa Barbara Mayor Marty Blum will be in attendance to help us receive the fish. Members of the press can contact us directly for transportation to the pen, which is moored just east of Stearn’s Wharf.

Santa Barbara Sea is a non-profit and hands-on organization dedicated to the enhancement and restoration of the fisheries in the Santa Barbara area. We work with the Ocean Resource Enhancement and Hatchery Program to help increase the depleted stock of wild White Seabass in the ocean waters of the Southern California Blight. We are also an advocacy group working to restore our coastal watersheds and improve ocean water quality. Please visit us online at www.sbsea.org to learn more!
