Parsons left for personal reasons to pursue a dream of sailing around the world with his family.

Lentz has replaced him with Adele Sun, who has been promoted from her position as Executive Sous Chef at The Hungry Cat, Santa Monica Canyon location. Sun’s culinary background includes sous chef positions at the acclaimed Craft and The Water Grill, both in Los Angeles. She is looking forward to working with the bounty of Santa Barbara seafood that will be available to her and creating new menus that showcase local products.

Lentz has transferred General Manager Bob Van de Veer, a six year veteran of The Hungry Cat Hollywood to Santa Barbara to assure a smooth transition with the new staff. Bob is passionate about The Hungry Cat food and philosophy. He is thrilled about the relocation with his wife and young daughter and becoming involved in the Santa Barbara community.

Lentz will be on hand regularly to integrate both Adele and Bob with the Santa Barbara staff and guests to ensure that the restaurant performs smoothly and that integrity of food and service meets the highest standards of his guests that Santa Barbara expects.
