GavPac Asserts Will

The Gaviota Coast Planning Advisory Committee (GavPac) and staff have resolved the issue of the format and authorship of the Gaviota Rural Plan to be compiled and forwarded to the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission. The plan will be that developed by the GavPac, and where staff has alternative suggestions or comments, those will be reflected in footnotes or sidebar comments to our plan.

The GavPac expresses its appreciation to the staff and to the offices of Supervisor Doreen Farr for responding to the expressed concerns of the GavPac regarding the authorship and format of the plan which is forwarded from our committee. We acknowledge and appreciate the knowledge and expertise of the Long Range Planning Division staff and thank the staff members who have supported us through this process.

The process is moving on to its next critical step and that is presenting the draft plan to the Planning Commission and continuing to move it through the public process toward adoption.
