Pickering comes to Seed Mackall LLP from the San Francisco Bay Area. Most recently he worked in the corporate departments of both O’Melveny & Myers LLP and Arnold & Porter LLP in San Francisco on a range of corporate matters, including venture capital, securities law, debt, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. He has represented both start-up and established companies in equity offerings, corporate reorganizations, secured and unsecured credit financings, asset sales, and various other transactions.

Pickering is originally from Troy, Michigan and received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in telecommunications. After graduating in 2002, he went on to conduct his legal studies at the University of Michigan Law School, where he graduated cum laude and served as a contributing editor on the Michigan Law Review. While at the University of Michigan, he served as a legal intern to Justice Robert P. Young, Jr. of the Michigan Supreme Court and as a summer associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP.

Pickering is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California. Outside of work, he cherishes time spent with his wife and baby girl (4 months) and enjoys an active lifestyle of hiking, running, cooking and theater.
