Big Bucks Requested During Budget Workshop

During last week’s three-day County budget workshop, ahead of final decisions to be made at the end of the fiscal year in June, multiple requests were made by department heads for more money. They asked for a combined $12.6 million out of the ongoing funding pot, which has $4.3 million to dole out, and $11.6 million out of the one-time funding pot, which has $2.5 million available. A recommended budget will be released in May.
