Robert Glen Cartwright

Robert Glen Cartwright, 55, passed away December 21, 2016, in Simi Valley, California.

A memorial will be held on January 8, 2017 in Simi Valley from Noon-4PM at the home of his parent’s Barbara and Frank Cartwright located at 1105 Catlin Ct., Simi Valley, CA 93065. Stop by any time between Noon and 4PM to share your memories of Robert.

He was born February 1, 1961, at Fort McArthur Hospital in San Pedro, CA to Frank Cartwright and Sandy Robertson. He lived with his younger sister Angela until he was 5 at which point his father remarried to Barbara Cartwright and he lived in Torrance, CA. There he lived with his two younger brothers Rick and Frank until they moved to Simi Valley, CA when Robert was 18.

Robert and the family enjoyed regular summer camping and fishing trips at Lake Casitas. He and his brothers played baseball, soccer and football. He attended South High School in Torrance where he played football and graduated in 1980.

His interests included family, surfing, electrical engineering, woodworking, muscle cars, bull riding and biking. He loved the sun and beach with his favorite spot in Carpinteria, CA (CARP).

Robert is survived by his parents Frank and Barbara Cartwright, Sandy Robertson and Bud Robertson; sister Angela Sosa; brothers Bill Robertson, Frank and Rick Cartwright and their wives Pamela Bonnell and Lisa Cartwright; nephews Cody Cartwright, Austin and Tyler Meick, nieces, Taylor and Nina Cartwright and all of his friends and tasty waves in both the beach cities of Carpinteria and the South Bay.
