Linda Barajas, 77, died peacefully, following a lengthy illness, at home in Oxnard, CA on May 17, 2019 surrounded by family.

Born October 21, 1941 in Santa Barbara, CA., she was the first child of John and Madeline Aguilar.

She attended Franklin Elementary, SB Jr. High, SBHS graduating in 1959 and SB Business College.

While in high school, she met the love of her life Jose (Joe) Barajas whom she married August 27, 1960.

Together they raised 4 children while owning and operating the ever popular Casa Linda Restaurants in Montecito, CA. for 35 years before moving to Oxnard, CA.

Linda, an accomplished classical pianist enjoyed listening to all genres of music.  For many years, she was a successful Stylist with Beeline Clothing. She also served as a youth catechism teacher at Holy Cross Church on the Mesa where she and Joe were married.  Linda will forever be remembered not only for her beauty and grace, but for her generous, kind and caring spirit, and as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Veronica (husband Angel) Salaman, Yvonne (husband Rafael) Rosas, Monique Barajas and son Joseph (JJ) Barajas, sisters Patricia Castillo and Juanita (husband Lee) Canley, 7 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 6 great-grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Madeline Aguilar, brother John (Buzzy) Aguilar niece Lisa Aguilar and sister-in-law Louise Aguilar.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm Friday, May 31, 2019 at Living Hope Church, 755 Bard Rd. in Port Hueneme, CA 93041, reception immediately following.
