Erika Jean Bastian

Erika Jean Bastian, Age 29 died peacefully in her sleep on November 29, 2019. She was beautiful and full of life. A shining soul whose spirit was just too big for this world. If there is anything that we should take from having known Erika is that life is too short not to live in the moment, feel the music in our bones, laugh at the small things, and love without questioning.

Erika will be remembered for making the most of what she had. Her absolutely unending energy and liveliness was contagious. She was spontaneous, and crazy in a fantastically wonderful way. It was next to impossible to be in the same room without being blessed by her energy.

In her young life, Erika was known to be a fantastic artist. She loved to work out and stay fit and at times did multiple Cross Fit workouts in a day, then spent the evening dancing away. She loved dogs and thrived working with and around them. She loved music and loved to sing and dance.

Erika is preceded in death by her mother Kelley Jean Bastian, and survived by her loving father Greg Bastian, her brother Chad Bastian, grandparents Bev and Ben Torres, Kathy and Bill Boyett, and Anke Bastian, many aunts and uncles, and many cousins. She is and always will be loved by many.

We will be honoring Erika’s life with a celebration of life in the Spring, as it was her favorite time of year. Rest in Peace Erika. Heaven definitely gained an angel when you showed up at its gates.
