Brian D. Kelley
On Monday, November 2, 2020, Brian D. Kelley, passed away at age 61, after a short illness. He died peacefully, with his two daughters Briana Kelley and Chelsea Kelley, and his former wife, Kathy Kelley at his side.
Brian was born on October 3, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH to Thomas and Elsie (Meyers) Kelley. He was raised in Glenville, N.Y. and moved to Santa Barbara, CA in 1980. His career as a financial advisor began in 1992, which he practiced at for nearly three decades.
Brian had a passion for the ocean and logged many hours on various seas, boating, fishing and recreating. He also loved to travel and to spend time of the golf course. He was a lover of music and playing the drums. He was a talented builder and loved do-it-yourself, home improvement projects. He will be missed for his quick wit, his gourmet cooking skills, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and his mother, Elsie. He is survived by his two daughters, Briana and Chelsea, his brother Tom, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to the Santa Barbara COVID-19 gathering restrictions, the family will hold a private Celebration of Life service.
