A benefit for The Frameworks / Caruso -Woods Gallery, which burned down last month (pictured), is going down this Friday, May 18, at Casa de la Guerra from 5-10 p.m. Music will be provided by Spencer the Gardener, and you can count on food from Elements and Epiphany, wine from Au Bon Climat, and beer from Telegraph Brewing.

Benefit for Christi’s Baby

The recent fire at Frameworks couldn’t have happened at a worse time for co-owner Christi Westerhouse, who’s currently pregnant. But her friend and neighbor Fatima Hallstrom, owner of Haggle at 7 East De la Guerra Street, is hosting a silent auction in conjunction with 1st Thursday tonight, May 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. So stop by and support Christi’s unborn daughter.

1st Thursday Reminder

See Spiritual Warriors

The Santa Barbara premiere of the film Spiritual Warriors is Saturday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m., at the Paseo Nuevo theater. It’s showing for free with a Q&A between the film’s stars Jsu Garcia and Robert Easton to follow. Based on a book by John-Roger, founder of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness, the film follows one man’s spiritual journey and battles against the “prince of darkness.”
