With (the heat of) this winter passed, it’s time to think about your spring garden. To aid in your flora decision-making, the S.B. Botanic Garden has an array of the green-leafed goodies to choose from at its annual spring sale. If you’re looking for native plants, the folks at the Garden recommend the following: Arctostaphylos densiflora ‘Howard McMinn’ (manzanita); Erigeron glaucus cultivars (California seaside daisy); iris ‘canyon snow’; Rhus integrifolia (lemonade berry); Salvia spathacea (hummingbird sage); Ceanothus ‘Ray Hartman’ (California wild lilac); Salvia clevelandii ‘Allen Chickering’ or ‘Winnifred Gilman’ (sage); and Heucheras cultivars (coral bells). The sale is on daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and goes until Sunday, May 4, at the S.B. Botanic Garden, 1212 Mission Canyon Road. There is no entrance fee for the sale.
