Colleen Flaherty
Paul Wellman

Intern Colleen Flaherty is as Irish as anyone of Irish-Italian descent could be: “I have yet to go to a family party where potatoes aren’t served (and a Guinness isn’t poured).” Or a good story isn’t told. Handling a dairy route by horse and carriage since age 12, her grandfather was a terrible car driver. “’Twas the trap that ruined me,” he would say in his heavy brogue. “I never trusted Henry Ford as much as I did that old horse.” The poli-sci major’s favorite Indy story so far? “The neo-Nazi trial!”
