Simple Simon (I Rymden Finns Inga Känslor)

Directed by Andreas Öhman | SWEDEN | 2010 | 90min | Subtitled
In an already complex world full of emotions, conflicts, and misunderstandings, everyday life is more difficult for Simon, who lives with Asperger’s Syndrome. With the help of his admirably patient brother Sam, Simon is able cope within a rigidly structured regimen in an organized household. Things go awry when Sam’s girlfriend Frida tires of this lifestyle and leaves, setting off a chain of events that affects both brothers negatively. While Sam spirals into a deep depression, Simon’s chaos-filled life leaves him in a world of uncertainty and disorder that is unbearable. Determined to return their life to normalcy, Simon takes matters into his own hands by going on a quest to try to find the perfect girl for Sam—only to be faced with new challenges.
