Midnight Ballad for Ghost Theatre (Samgeori geukjang)
Rating: NR
Synopsis:
MIDNIGHT BALLAD FOR GHOST THEATRE, directed by newcomer Jeon Gye-Su, is a rare treasure. Described as a cross between THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and BEETLEJUICE since its release last year, this musical comedy has already garnered a loyal cult following. A young girl name Sodan stumbles upon a mysterious cinema. However, something about this theater is just not quite right. Space and time seem disoriented and the theater is staffed by eccentric employees, resembling the glamorous ghouls that perform every night. The curious Sodan becomes captivated with this macabre world and soon becomes an employee herself. In doing so, will she be engulfed in the past and lose grasp of reality?
