Santa Barbara County probation officer Darin Siegel was arrested
Friday by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) on
federal charges of conspiracy to sell firearms illegally. He is
being investigated along with Jose Nunez – of Jose’s Marine
Services on Haley Street – and Bricio Casarrubias by Los Angeles
attorney Jeff Bachus. Siegel, who worked part-time at Dodge City
Gun Shop on Calle Real, allegedly supplied guns without a license
to Nunez and Casarrubias, who resold the firearms to ATF undercover
agents. Bachus has 30 days from the arrest date to bring an
indictment.
