Peel Peel

from Austin, Texas, dropping their debut album this April with
Peek-A-Boo Records. A youthful blend of indie pop with noisy drums,
keyboards, and multiple vocalists, Peel came together in 2004 and
since then has been a huge favorite in the Austin scene and is sure
to gain widespread popularity once their self-titled album hits
stores. With eleven songs bursting with the ADD energy you’d expect
from such a young band, Peel constructs songs with surprisingly
mature and intelligent lyrics and displays developed musicianship.
With its percussion driven tracks, random psychedelic moments and
synthesized crescendos that kept me guessing, I actually wanted to
listen to every second of every song to see what else they might
come up with.
