Setting out from the San Francisco Bay area and making the entire 545-mile trip down to Los Angeles, over 2500 cyclists will be cruising through the area this Friday, June 8, in support of the Aids/Life Cycle bike ride. The race began on Sunday, June 3, and will end on Saturday, June 9, as the cyclists move through Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, San Benito and the Santa Cruz Counties.
The riders will be moving south from Santa Maria to Lompoc on Thursday, June 7, on Highways 1, 135, and 246, and finally south from Lompoc to Ventura on Friday, June 8 using highways 1, 101, 225 in addition to some city and county roads.
