Teaming up for a very special night of music, The Pretenders and Stray Cats will share stage space for the first time ever on Friday, August 10 at 6 p.m. at the Santa Barbara Bowl.

Founding singer and songwriter, Chrissie Hynde will be headlining the show with her current installment of backing band members. Known for such post-punk hits as “Back on the Chain Gang” and “I’ll Stand By You,” The Pretenders were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.

Some of the most notable – and well-recognized – ska and rockabilly musicians of our time, Stray Cats are still pumping out up-beat, 50s-style hits with a line-up that features all of the band’s original members; lead vocalist Brian Setzer, upright bassist Lee Rocker, and drummer Slim Jim Phantom.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, June 30 at 11 a.m. and prices for the show range from $33 to $64, plus service charges.
