Daniel Wallace Possible Interim County Counsel

Supes to Discuss Shane Stark Replacement at Jan. 15 Meeting

Sat Jan 12, 2008 | 10:00am

As longtime County Council Shane Stark will be retiring at the end of the month, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors will discuss hiring attorney Daniel Wallace as a temporary replacement at its January 15 meeting. Wallace formerly served as the Santa Barbara city attorney from 1999 to 2004. Previous to that, he serves as chief deputy counsel for San Diego County from 1985 to 1990. If hired, Wallace would make an annual salary of $192,000 – thought no benefits, as he would be a contract employee – until a permanent replacement is chosen.
