What’s Funny About the News-Press

Very little, but at least Connie Bryan is trying in an online video

Fri Feb 15, 2008 | 09:42pm

I was unaware of Connie Bryan until this video appeared on my desktop. Their are some laughs to be had here — about as infrequent as the real life drama surrounding the News-Press craziness since July ’06, but they are there. And the Larry David impression lurches from spot-on to trying. Lauren Peterson plays Larry’s wife, Cheryl.

None-the-less, let’s give some props to Connie, “a talk host /comedian /songwriter /musician living in Santa Barbara, California, currently producing/hosting “The Connie Bryan Show” on Santa Barbara cable access channel 17. I’m hoping to find an opportunity in show business either in television or radio. I’m originally from Orlando, Florida, where in addition to hosting a popular midday talk radio show for 4 years, I taught as a comedian/instructor for “The IMPROV COMEDY TRAFFIC SCHOOL,” for a good shot at the subject (and others).

The News-Press reference occurs at about 3:30, for those in a hurry.
