If you weren’t able to sit in one of the sold-out seats at the Arlington Theatre for the premiere of this powerful documentary, the filmmakers and producers are offering two final showings this weekend.

The film chronicles the events since July 2006 when beloved editor Jerry Roberts and five of his colleagues resigned from the Santa Barbara News-Press because of owner Wendy McCaw’s alleged abandonment of journalistic ethics. Since then, more than 70 News-Press employees have quit or been fired, and thousands in the county have voluntarily canceled subscriptions.

Watch the drama unfold onscreen this weekend with two final community viewings: Saturday, April 5, at 8 p.m., or Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m. at Marjorie Luke Theatre (721 Cota St.). Tickets are on sale at the Lobero Theatre (33 E. Canon Perdido St.) or online at lobero.com, for $17.50 each, with a limited number of $100 VIP tickets available. Call 963-0761 for ticket info and visit the film’s Web site at citizenmccaw for more details.
