Camp Wheez

Camp Wheez is a free day camp sponsored by the American Lung Association of California for children with chronic asthma. Camp Wheez provides a camp experience designed for their special needs and includes asthma education, physical development skills, arts and crafts projects, and good old-fashioned camp fun. Our Camp Wheez staff includes volunteers and medical professionals. Ventura: July 21-25; Santa Maria: Aug. 4-8; San Luis Obispo: Aug. 11-15; Santa Barbara: Aug. 11-15. Grades 1-6. Dream Street

Free camping programs for children with chronic/life-threatening illnesses including cancer, AIDS, blood disorders, and other serious diseases. Inflatable jumpers, waterslides, ceramics, arts, crafts, wildlife, science, adventures, dances, rock-climbing wall, visits from therapy dogs. Volunteer counselors/medical staff are available for any child who needs special help. July 20-27, Rancho Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano. Ages 6-14. Happy Adventure Summer Camp

Happy Adventure Summer Camp’s 17th summer session for children and adults with developmental disabilities. A day enrichment program serving children and adults with developmental disabilities from the greater Santa Barbara area. Operated by Cornerstone House of Santa Barbara, a nonprofit organization.
