Morninglory Not Being Uprooted

Potential Subleaser Could Share Music Store's State Street Space

Although downtown’s Morninglory Music is currently displaying a Radius Group lease sign, the store has no immediate plans to lease or sublease. Owner Stan Bernstein said that while he is looking for someone to take over some currently undefined amount of the store’s space, he neither knows who will take it or when it will be taken. Bernstein remarked, however, that downsizing Morninglory was necessary as a result of booming technology. “It just no longer needs that sized space; people don’t buy as many CDs as they used to; now there’s downloading, legal and illegal.” Bernstein said potentially half the store’s current space could be occupied by a leaser.
