The Santa Barbara County Arts Commission recently announced the eight artists they have chosen to participate in the fifth annual State of the Art Gallery exhibition on State Street. Sculptures from Richard Aber, Jeff Elings, Edward Inks, Bill Malis, Rafael Perea de la Cabada and Matthew Woodford, Jeff Sanders, Todd and Jeff Kaiser, and Nathan Snyder will be available for viewing starting Saturday, August 9.

Westmont Welcome

After 26 years, the founding director of Westmont’s Reynolds Gallery, Tony Askew, has retired. Askew will be replaced by Judy L. Larson, a former director of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., and newly named inaugural holder of the R. Anthony Askew Chair in Art.
