ON THE COVER: The name “Picasso” has almost become synonymous with communism, Cubism, and the antiwar “Guernica,” but his drawings and prints currently on display at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art reveal a man who extends beyond assumptions or strict classifications. This selection, as well as the 24 other prints on display at SBMA until December 7, are the subject of Charles Donelan’s cover story, starting here.
