Art Smart

Thu Mar 26, 2009 | 12:00am

Looking for a fun, free, family night out? Head to McKinley Elementary’s All-School Art Show tonight. Kids and adults will have a curatorial blast checking out paintings, drawings, and other works at this exhibit made possible by the school’s exceptional new art curriculum in which every student participated to create a work of art for the event. The program, now in its second year, is funded by a contribution from an anonymous donor and an outpouring of community support. In addition to the art spectacle, visitors can take away a fun souvenir from the exhibit in the form of a snapshot, courtesy of photographer Bob DeBris-quirky costumes, props, and backdrop provided. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26. Free. McKinley Elementary School Auditorium, 350 Loma Alta Dr. Call 966-9926 for more info.
