Fire Burns Paradise Road Cabin

Blaze Extinguished Before Spreading to Nearby Brush

Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a structure fire early Wednesday evening at 5050 Paradise Road. The fire was confined to the structure, an abandoned cabin owned by the U.S Forest Service, and did not spread to surrounding brush. The U.S. Forest Service arrived at the scene first, and then County Fire showed up with three engines and a battalion chief. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
