Wave riders from around Santa Barbara will flock to the SBCC Women’s Basketball Team’s Surf Swap Meet this weekend for great shopping that supports a great cause. Patrons will have a chance to buy, sell, or trade all types of ocean gear, including new and used surfboards, wetsuits, surf art, and other items; visitors will also be invited to test demo equipment and participate in contests, in addition to other fun activities. As an added incentive, all proceeds from vendor space rental will help fund the women’s basketball program at SBCC. The Surf Swap Meet will be held on Saturday, October 10, from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at SBCC’s lower level parking lot on Loma Alta Drive, across from Leadbetter Beach. Free.
