If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to celebrate the last throes of an S.B. Indian summer with your little ones, head up to the Santa Ynez Valley this weekend for a Kids’ Old-Fashioned Fishing Day at the Cachuma Lake Nature Center (Hwy. 154, Santa Ynez). Young anglers aged 5-15 will fish for rainbow trout with the help of adult volunteers. Bamboo fishing poles, bobbers, and bait will be provided. Adults with current fishing licenses can participate alongside them. Fishing starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, and is free with $8 per vehicle park admission. Call 693-0691 for more info.
