Creative Reuse Workshop Offers Eco- and Wallet-Friendly Ways to Make Holiday Gifts

Mon Nov 09, 2009 | 06:00am

This year, many Santa Barbarans will be looking for a financially friendly way to approach the holiday season. If you’re in the same boat, be sure to attend Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore (6725 Hollister Ave., Goleta) Creative Reuse Workshop, where you’ll learn ways to make unexpected and creative gifts out of materials you already have-like turning a door into a headboard for your bed or making a quirky planter out of an old sink and some paint, along with many more creative, and environmentally and economically friendly gifts. The free workshop takes place Saturday, November 14, at 2 p.m. Ages 18+; please RSVP. Call 692-2226.
