The Cold Spring Canyon Bridge is the “Bridge of Life” for the vast majority who make the more than five million safe and scenic trips over this beautiful bridge in a single year!
According to their own reckoning in 2008, over the previous eight years during which there was one suicide a year from the bridge, the Sheriff’s Department responded to 162 suicide-related calls at the bridge, which statistic implies that at least 19 potential suicides a year either changed their minds at the bridge, or were saved by the officers on the scene who proved they cared.-Tracy Fernandez
