Santa Barbarans of all ages won’t want to miss this week’s free screening of the brilliantly animated flick Coraline, showing at UCSB’s Campbell Hall on Wednesday, January 27, at 7:30 p.m. The film chronicles the journey of an 11-year-old girl who, during an attempt to run away from home, slips through a secret door into an alternate reality. The screening will be followed by a talk the next week with Coraline author Neil Gaiman, who will visit Campbell Hall on Wednesday, February 3. Call 893-3535.
